[If there was one thing Finarfin could count on since his granddaughter's birth, it was her unpredictability, her spirit, and just how very like her mother she was. And how very bright life was with her around, even when she was so very dirty.

His staff had grown somewhat used to her antics, and likely were already at work cleaning up the messy trail she'd left in her search for him, long suffering sighs barely hiding indulgent smiles for most.

As for Finarfin himself, once she found him and climbed right into his lap (dirt and all), he chuckled quietly and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her gently to him. She was more important than retaining appearances just then.

Besides, she had gifts! He smiled at her and pressed a kiss to her mud covered hair as he stood, lifting her with him.]

[Oh, undoubtedly work was already started to clean up her mess. She'd certainly made enough noise as she went to draw someones attention.

She wrapped one arm around his shoulders, still holding the flowers tightly and smiling still, shining like the grandparents she clearly so adored and cuddling up against her grandfathers chest.]

I thought they were pretty like you and grandma and the rain was hurting them. So I picked them for you that way you'd have them.
